Welcome to 2019 on PlusMinus Magazine. We thought we would kick off the new year with a post all about a great snack. Today we are talking about the humble bagel.

The bagel as we are sure you are aware, is a bread product originating in the Jewish communities of Poland. It is traditionally a ring, that is first boiled for a short time and then baked. The result is a dense, chewy, doughy interior with a browned and sometimes crisp exterior. We are hungry already.

Whist we wouldn’t have a clue where to start if we for some reason found ourselves tasked with making these on the Great British Bake Off. To be honest, there are so many great places in London to get an amazing bagel, why should we.

Keep reading to find the 7 Best bagels in London, no baking required.

1. Beigel Bake | 159 Brick Ln, E1 6SB

A good place to start is a traditional bagel. Head to Beigel Bake on brick lane, for what is known in those parts as a London institution.

4. Rinkoffs Bakery | 224 Jubilee Street, E1 3BS

Home of the rainbow bagel. Instagram’s tastiest trending snack. A swirl of technicolour may not add anything to the bagel itself, however, your choice of filling will.

Rinkoffs will make it how you choose, but the Oreo cream cheese grabbed our attention.
