Prepare yourselves for avant-garde fashion, as Swarovski unveil the 15 extremely talented fashion designers who will form the year-long Swarovski Collective 2016. Exceptional designers, new and established, will work in creative partnership with Swarovski to launch their seasonal fashion collections for 2016.

The schedule for the coveted Swarovski Collective 2016 program will span three of the biggest fashion week capitals in the world: New York, London and Paris. Throughout the one-year creative initiative, the designers will receive financial support, as well as access to Swarovski’s top quality crystals to incorporate into their collections. Ultimately, one of the designers will win the annual €25,000 Swarovski Collective Prize, and the winner will be announced in May 2016.

Making their debut to the program are: Rosie Assoulin, Thomas Tait, Tanya Taylor, Tome, Alexander Lewis, David Koma, Haizhen Wang and Vivienne Hu. Returning to the collective are Christian Wijnants, Creatures of the Wind, Emilia Wickstead, Esteban Cortazar, Iris Van Herpen, Tim Coppens, and the 2015 winner, Peter Pilotto.

Rosie Assoulin, winner of the CFDA Swarovski Award, said: “We are so honoured to be working with Swarovski and to have the opportunity to really dive into their treasure trove of materials and techniques.”

Swarovski’s pivotal role in fashion makes it the perfect platform for designers to display and explore their creativity.

“It is a pleasure to build on the success of the Swarovski Collective with this new line-up of creatives,” Nadja Swarovski, Member of the Swarovski Executive Board, explained. “This is an exceptional group of designers and we look forward to seeing them innovate with crystal looks over the coming year.”
