With something for everyone, we’ve got your Valentines day sorted! Check out our top bars in London to get you gushy this Tuesday…

For the view from the top…

Sushi Samba, EC2N 4AY

If you’re looking for fine dining with unbeatable views, look no further. ‘SushiSamba’ will whizz you up to the dizzying heights of the 38th floor of the Heron Tower where you can marvel at the beauty of London through huge glass windows surrounding the restaurant and bar. The setting is sublime – think state of the art interior and mood lighting – and the cocktails are scrumptiously more-ish (we dare you to attempt to stop after one). The dress code is ‘casual elegance’ so remember to leave your gym shoes at home (as if we  needed an excuse).

For those on a budget…

The Grind, Various locations

Sam Smith was quoted saying “I f******g love this place” and after catching wind of their special £5 espresso martinis on offer this Tuesday, ‘the Grind’ have won our hearts too. With a great sharing menu to boot, you can enjoy nibbles and drinks in any of the Grind’s laid back, brick-walled surroundings. Grab a date, find your closest branch and let the caffeine-fuelled martinis do the talking!

For those feeling naughty…

Three Six Six Battersea, SW11 1SL

Putting the cock in cocktail (sorry, we couldn’t resist), this daring South London bar is offering 4 ‘Fetish and Fantasy’ cocktails for £25 if you book in advance this Tuesday… Prepare yourself for butt pluggs garnishes and swallowing slippery nipples to get you and your date feeling frisky!

For live music…

Nightjar, EC1V 1JB

We have long been frequenting this hidden gem due to its live jazz, blues and ragtime every night of the week. It has nailed the New York speakeasy bar vibe, and adds a mischievous twist to classic cocktails – peanut butter ice cubes anyone? The food menu is also to die for, so make sure you arrive hungry. The only downside is that it holds a strict ‘no walk ins’ policy so all guests must book in advance.

For the old school romantics…

The Gibson, EC1V 9AQ

Prepare to travel back in time when you enter ‘The Gibson’. Shoreditch’s answer to Edwardian England, this intimate cocktail den serves up delightful concoctions typical of those drunk in 18th century England. The creations are like nothing we’ve tried before, although you might want to hold off the martinis with pickled onions if you intend to lock lips at the end of the night…  Not convinced? Don’t take our word for it – the romantic bar recently made it onto a list of the best bars in the world!

For the singletons…

Zetter Townhouse, EC1V 4JJ

They say two’s company, three’s a crowd, but if that’s the case I think we’ll opt for the crowd this year… The intimate feel of the Zetter Townhouse might scream table for two, but turn up in parties of three this Tuesday and you will each be treated to a complimentary cocktail from the ‘Menage a Trois’ menu. Single never tasted so good!
