Is it just us or is it difficult to find a day that’s not dedicated to something these days?! In just a few days (the 13th of March to be exact) it’s ‘national open an umbrella inside day’. Seriously!
Anyway if you haven’t been too busy planning celebrations for ‘national middle name pride day’ tomorrow, you’re probably thinking about how to treat your mum this Sunday for Mother’s Day.
Well, how better to celebrate than with a gin based afternoon tea on a bus?! Let’s face it, afternoon teas were made for mother daughter bonding, and gin, well – does one ever need a reason to drink copious amounts of gin and tonic?
Yep, B-Bakery offer the ultimate British experience by having the two of you whisked around London on a classic red bus whilst enjoying traditional sandwiches, cakes and of course gin!
The double decker bus allows you to pretend you’re a tourist for the day as you visit sights including Big Ben, Downing Street and Hyde Park, all from the warmth and comfort of your seat.
We were impressed to find that not only have the Covent Garden bakery combined two of our favourite things (cake and gin), but they also stand out by providing the options of vegan or gluten free based set menus. Just be sure to click the correct option when you book online!
And if you don’t drink, don’t worry. The bakery also serve up traditional tea for those who are, umm, T(ea) total!
The whole experience lasts for around an hour and a half, by which point you’ll probably be feeling fuzzy and full (another great combination in our books).
If you want to treat your mum to something a little different, book in a ‘B bakery’ tour. Whatever the B stands for, it’s certainly not ‘boring’!
