Oliver Cheshire models for M&S Autograph range

After previously showing off his chiseled cheekbones and angelically carved body for many high fashion brands such as Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana and Vivienne Westwood, Oliver Cheshire has been unveiled as the new face of Marks & Spencer’s Autograph line.

Yes, marking the re-design of the Autograph Menswear Autumn/Winter line 2015, a collection that features simple, luxury trend-led pieces, is international male model Oliver Cheshire. This fashionista, known to some as Pixie Lott’s other half, has been modelling for Marks & Spencer for the last two years and therefore was the perfect choice for representing the new collection.

Director of menswear Scott Fyfe stated, “Oliver has worked with M&S Menswear for two years and making him the face of Autograph was an obvious fit.  Oliver epitomises the Autograph brand with his love of simple luxury pieces making him the perfect ambassador for this urban, trend-led brand.”

And Oliver is not just a pretty face; his knowledge of fashion and trends delves much deeper as he runs his own blog, I Wear The Trousers, where he voices his opinion on the latest styles and even makes suggestions for us regarding outfits. And with his background in the industry, I would definitely be one to take his advice. Mainly circling the topic of men’s fashion, this blog may seem like a dead end for women, however I think that we can take some of Oliver’s advice from posts such as ‘Five fashion mistakes and how to avoid them’ and ‘How to dress well on a budget’.

Oliver is enthusiastic about the collection, stating that among his favourite items were the wool blend leather sleeved bomber jacket and the merino and cashmere grey dip dye jumper. On shooting the collection he said, “I’m really excited to be the new face of Autograph. I’ve always loved the M&S brand and I’m happy to be a part of the M&S family. The Autograph collection is completely my style with great pieces for day and evening. I love the range and I’m proud to be the new face of the collection at a time when it’s looking so sharp and taking this new trend direction.” He was also eager to front his suggestions on how items of the collection should be worn; perhaps we could be expecting a new blog piece on these suggestions.

For the new Menswear Autumn/Winter 2015 collection re-launch, Autograph brings a combination of formalwear and casual sports luxe pieces in styles that are refreshed every 6-8 weeks. Setting a tone of modern and contemporary, the collection includes key styles such as geometric print knitwear, textured crew neck jumpers, a bomber jacket with leather sleeves and even a selection of sports luxe trainers.

It seems that Oliver Cheshire is the perfect fit for the new face of the Autograph line. Whether it’s a cheeky smile or smoldering glare, Oliver has that side of the camera covered and with his visible love of fashion, it makes him all the more suited. I’m not sure  any of us will be complaining about seeing this face more often.
