London-based brand NAK Fashion have launched a luxury range of vegan shoes, which aim to provide a stylish and cruelty-free fashion choice for those who are ethically minded. The collection is modern and accessible, containing everyday wardrobe essential styles for both men and women.
NAK stands for No Animals Killed, as all the materials are ethical and sustainable. The shoes are meticulously hand-crafted in an Italian workshop using a revolutionary micro-fibre which is both lightweight and waterproof.
NAK developed this vegan leather to replicate the 3D of animal leather, except that it is superior in quality. Not only does it mean that no animals were killed in the making of their products, but also that the shoes are more robust than traditional leather shoes. NAK leather is comfortable and breathable, and is also 100% waterproof, making it ideal for 21st century footwear.
There is a growing demand for ethical and cruelty-free fashion, especially with initiatives such as the PETA Fashion Awards, which raise awareness of the vegan fashion movement. NAK Fashion is a PETA-approved vegan brand, and launched at London Fashion Week in February 2015.
