Madonna revealed last week that she has been working with Jeremy Scott for Moschino, and Alessandro Michele for Gucci, to design stage costumes for her upcoming “Rebel Heart” tour.
Other designers working on the project include Alexander Wang, Prada and Miu Miu.
The final designs have yet to be revealed, but the singer has provided a teaser on Instagram, with photos showing Madonna wearing a long multi-coloured gown, and in another photo she is wearing a pair of Gucci lace-up boots.
The pop-star is well-known for her designer outfits and unique fashion sense. Earlier this year she suffered a fall on stage, after her Armani cape failed to untie during her Brit Awards performance, causing the singer to tumble backwards. Let’s hope no wardrobe malfunctions occur on the new tour.
Of course, Madonna’s most famous stage outfit is the iconic gold cone bra, designed by Jean Paul Gaultier for the 1990 “Blonde Ambition” tour.
We don’t expect to see her wearing anything like that this time around, although fans attending the concerts are hoping to see her perform some classic hits of that era, as well as songs from the new album.
The tour kicks off on 9th September in Toronto, Canada, and includes five UK dates in December.
