The beauty world is full of products, with limitless lists of must-haves and essentials. Yet this can all get a bit confusing and sometimes we are just so unsure about what we should and shouldn’t be doing to ourselves. Is everything completely safe? Is cruelty-free good for us? How much deodorant is too much? Is the beauty industry actually just bad for us full stop?

Finding a brand that works for you can be so tricky, and don’t forget how expensive all these products can be, and still not be right for you. It is a veritable beauty minefield. We know a thing or to about some French brands that will be great for many people, but when it comes to other areas of beauty we have plenty of questions.

We all have questions that we are too scared to ask about. Beauty staples that we have always been wary of, to kick off this beauty series we are asking the all-important question:

Is spray tanning safe?

There are sunless tanning options are EVERYWHERE, giving us all the golden glow even in deepest January in Shoreditch high street, but is it good for us? Okay, we will address the orange streak nightmares in a moment. However essentially, the all year tan was perpetuated by the invention and popularity of the sunbed, now these are definitely bad for you. Used too often they increase the chances of skin cancer. All that makes spray tanning sound super safe, right?

As far as we can tell there is nothing unsafe about spray tanning, there is obviously a myriad of ingredients that any one person could have an issue with, so always read the packaging to check how this product will work for you. Now spray tanning at home may be safe, but not always advised. With patchy results (literally), stained sheets and that signature biscuit scent that we all know and loathe. No one wants to be orange, so we have done some research for you, and have found the safe and amazing spray tanning solution that will have you glowing or all the right reasons.

The formulas are created to tackle known tanning problems. Streaking is combatted by IOP’s exclusive Triple Glow Technology “an exclusive composition that reacts with the amino acids on the skin’s surface to naturally enhance melanin without staining the skin” and that biscuit smell is nowhere to be smelt “formulated at a low pH, this exclusive composition is blended with Eucalyptus Oil to leave skin scented with a light, delicate natural fragrance”. Backed up with so much science, this is 100% safe.
