Outerwear brand HOLI have launched their debut AW15 collection, which aims to fill the gap in the UK market for coats and jackets that are truly warm.
HOLI’s designs combine classic and timeless styles with a modern twist, and are designed to be versatile to match any outfit. Their no-fuss Autumn/Winter collection means that each item would look as great with a pair of jeans as it would at a formal event.
HOLI’s products are made from 100% natural fibres, including cashmere and llama wools, and all have a 100% silk lining. It is these materials which will offer warmth to the wearer during those chilly winter months.
Founder and CEO of HOLI, Leah Rodrigues says: “A large part of founding HOLI was about addressing a long-held view that the UK market is lacking in outerwear that provided genuine warmth. Our collection seeks to address this by using only the highest quality natural fibres to create garments that are not just stylish, but will hold their own in the depths of the winter cold.”
All of HOLI’s range is hand-made in their very own training and production centre in Siem Reap, Cambodia, which opened in February 2014. HOLI Studios offers long-term training opportunities as well as a safe working environment for local Cambodians. HOLI are proud of the standard of work they are able to achieve, and their ability to produce unique products of the highest quality.
Leah Rodrigues says: “This launch also marks an important milestone for our fantastic team in Siem Reap, whose rigorous training in HOLI Studios has provided them with the skills to hand-produce the premium quality outerwear we are launching today. We believe that investing in skill development as part of long-term employment has the potential to change lives.”
HOLI have definitely got our attention here at Plus Minus, and we’re sure their launch will be a success. They are offering hand-made, quality garments, that really do keep you warm. And their factory improves people’s lives in the local community; so they are ethical as well as fashionable. What more could you ask from a clothing brand?
