We were invited down to our first yoghurt-related event last week and, although we didn’t know what to expect, we thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next one!
Onken hosted their Go Greek event in Soho to celebrate the launch of some new flavours, and after being greeted with glasses of Prosecco, we stepped into an amazing room full of yoghurt pot trees, painted models and a cocktail bar.
We were allowed to pick the yoghurt pots from the trees to sample the new flavours (Rhubarb and Ginger, Apple and Spiced Cinnamon and Lemon and Raspberry) and Apple and Spiced Cinnamon was definitely our favourite-it had a lovely warm flavour!
As well as samples of their new flavours, there were some amazing portraits of the X-Factor judges made out of yoghurt and they key ingredients in the new flavours. We have to say, we loved seeing Nick Grimshaw, Rita Ora, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini created out of yoghurt!
After sampling a few of the yoghurts and admiring the portraits we tried some of the cocktails-each of which had the same flavours as the new yoghurts. Our favourite of the three was the Rhubarb and Ginger cocktail, as you can see above they looked amazing and really pretty.
As part of the promotion of their new flavours, Onken have been transporting Dairyus (allegedly the Greek God of yoghurt!) to different famous spots in the UK and we had the chance to pose with him ourselves at the event.
By using #GoGreek in our photos on Instagram or Twitter, we were able to print out our photos at the event, and our Fashion Editor Albertine got a great snap with the much-loved Dairyus.
We never imagined ourselves attending a yoghurt press event, but this one was so much fun we really can’t wait for the next one. Bring on the new flavours!
