The battle is on: Cadbury has launched some exciting new flavours including peanut caramel and mint Oreo. Mmmm. I think we can all agree that they both score at least a 9/10 on the drool-worthy scale, but which one takes the crown?
Naturally, we decided that it would be a very good idea to put them to the test. All in your best interests, so you can make an informed purchasing decision, of course. So let the battle commence…
Dairy Milk Big Taste Caramel Crisp
USP: An extra large, extra shareable Dairy Milk bar filled with chunky peanuts, with a smooth caramel leaving no room for air.
Shelf appeal: Since the peanut caramel comes in a whopping size, it’s definitely a treat that would catch our eye. And the eyes of our colleagues, it seems… this isn’t one you’re going to be able to hide at the back of the fridge, but you can be sure there’ll be enough to share (if you’re that way inclined).
Taste rating: 8/10. The peanut/caramel combination is one of the most genius flavours we’ve tasted recently. That said, it does get a teeny but sickly after a while. Just a teeny bit.
Dairy Milk Oreo Mint
USP: Dairy Milk have decided to spoil us with not one, but two, great fillings with the mint Oreo bar. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say, but who reads labels out loud anyway?
Shelf appeal: It seems anything involving Oreos, those perfectly perfect biscuits we can’t say no to, is a winner for us. Add to that the eye-catching green packaging and the unusual (and slightly hard to get your head around) flavour, and we defy you to continue about your day without your curiosity piqued. This is one you need to try.
Moreish rating: 9/10. The minty filling isn’t too filling, leaving room for more… and more…and more…
It’s safe to say this one was a very close call. But, although Caramel Crisp took the lead initially, it’s the Oreo Mint that we’ll be rushing out to buy.
