On Wednesday evening we headed down to Stables Market in the heart of Camden to celebrate the three winners of the Camden Spirit Awards and have an exclusive sneak peek at their brand new boutiques. Each boutique was designed and refurbished by the three winners of the award, who all created a unique vibe and feel for their space.
While browsing each boutique, we sipped on Prosecco and created our own pick and mix from a table full of sweet treats (marshmallows don’t count as calories, right?!). We loved meeting the designers behind the brand at the event, and what better way to introduce them to you guys than by sharing some of their amazing designs and the inspiration behind them?
The Original Leroy
Although Natasha Wright only founded An Original Leroy just over a year ago, she’s immediately created lots of buzz and hype around the brand. With her bright colours and satement designs, it’s easy to see why she’s been featured in the Daily Mail, Closer Magazine and seen on Made In Chelsea’s very own fashionista Rosie Fortescue.
All designs are handmade in the UK with a limited edition run so if you pick up something from the Camden boutique you can be sure no one else will have the same!
Fay and Solas
With the presitge of winning Young Scottish Designer of the Year 2013 behind her, Jennifer Morris created Fay & Solas for a similar aesthetic to her already popular Jennifer Morris luxury line, but at a much more attainable price point. The name Fay & Solas comes from the Scottish meaning ‘Sprites’ playing on the whimsical, fairy-esque femininity which is the ethos of the brand.
The boutique has a Secret Garden feel with beautifully hand-made items, perfect for those of you who love contemporary fashion.
Sera Ulger London
Sera Ulger describe themselves as bold, 90s, fearless and feminine-and that really couldn’t be more true! The bright and loud asthetics create a feeling of girl power, and the cuts and finishes enable a unique attitude for the sassy girl that they design for. All the prints are handpainted at their Ulger Lab studio and their Camden unit will very much be used for creating as well as selling.
Also featured in their Camden boutique is a kissing door, so if you want to leave your mark on their brand new shop make sure you pop in over the next six months and pucker up like our Lifestyle Editor Becca did!
