If you haven’t already heard, anatomie.london is a platform changing the face of fashion by bringing the coolest avant garde designers from around the world to your wardrobe. Ahead of the LFW pop-up, where you’ll be able to browse and buy some of fashion’s most unconventional designs, we headed along to the launch party to get the low-down on what to look out for.
As we entered the rather intimate space that is the Shoreditch venue, we were greeted with a glass of bubbly from the lovely anatomie.london team. The launch party gave us a sneak peek at designs ahead of London Fashion Week, when the pop shop will be open until February 19th
If you have time, we recommend popping along to have a look at the collection – even if it’s just to admire the design talent on show. This season it’s all about emphasis, exaggeration and bold statements, which are embodied in every piece in the collection.
Here are some of the top pieces to look out for:
Velvet dominated the catwalks last season, from clothing and shoes to bags and accessories. An item that caught my eye instantly at the event was a pair of black boots with emerald velvet detailing. They’re glamorous – but subtle.
The Ruffled Waistcoat
Taking inspiration from the late 1700’s, this simple waistcoat has an added layer of oomph with its inflated pleats.
We loved the oval backpack, which is ideal for spring with its pastel colour. Another one we had our eye on is a black-medium sized backpack with ruffle details. The lace up detailing on both bags adds a feminine touch to the heavy shapes.
anatomie.london’s pop-up shop is open until 19th February at 42 Redchurch Street, London E2 7DP.
