A show that we were thrilled to see back on the schedule was Rocky Star. We had heard before hand that this show was not to be missed. With Star’s direction was incredible and fresh.

There was a bold sense of style that only comes from an incredible talented head on the shoulders of the designer. This collection was harder, edgier, but also fun and joyous.

We loved the bold use of glitter, seen in sequinned fabrics, and sparkly embellishments. This was given a wearability and casual easy nature from the styling, paring an incredible gold sequin skirt with some dreamy soft cream knitwear.

The use of separates was a joy to behold, allowing the collection to be fully enjoyed by all. There was a welcome return of a great pair of trousers, this is a moment that should be rejoiced. Seen in a plethora of flattering stripes, and colours. Star has clearly thought about who is going to where this collection.

Please don’t think that all the pieces were daywear, oh no no. There were some stunning evening pieces, big shoulders meet nipped in waists, and everything in between, all covered in exquisite feathers and embellishments. If you have somewhere special to be, then Star has a garment for you.

We have spoken to Rocky Star before, and knew we wanted to get his perspective on the collection, fresh after the runway. Grabbing a couple of precious minutes with the designer to get you more information.

We asked Rocky about the mood and the emotion of show, and we received a beautiful summing up of the collection.

“It is about human emotion, fighting with evil. Every day we are fighting the angels and deamons in our minds. You know, we rush around burning ourselves doing that. This collection is a representation of the joy we all should have in our lives.”

We are so pleased to have Rocky Star back in London, this show was a stunning example of the talent and vision he possesses.
